Well, here we are another week closer to Halloween and Eko and I still don’t have a costume. Last week you guys gave me a number of great suggestions, but I still don’t think we’ve found the one. Here are a few more costume ideas that we tried out in the past week.
Last year Eko went as Simba from The Lion King, but he is a bit big for that role this year
What he lacks in qualifications and medical knowledge, he makes up for with his good looks! I was considering having Eko be a doctor, but Emily nixed the idea of Eko running around the dog park in her white coat
Eko makes a dashing adventurer, but that costume seems too literal
And Eko as a ghost is not so much spooky as it is goofy
I like Eko the mummy best, but this costume would last for about ten seconds outside the door before being shredded
In short, we haven’t found the perfect costume…yet. We have seen a lot of fun ideas out there and are definitely getting inspired. Just about three weeks until Halloween, so Eko and I need to get moving. As always, if you have any fun costume ideas (for us or for your dog – promise we won’t steal!), let us know!

I love the mummy..hehe so funny. What about Elvis? I think Eko would look great with sideburns and mile high hair…maybe a sparkly collar? Doonzer there has a good idea too, I like the Lone Ranger and Tonto gig.
Haha I like the Elvis idea a lot, that could be hilarious. However, I’m definitely trying to figure out some sort of paired costume we can pull off so that I can (continue to) ride Eko’s coattails.

I think you should dress like Tonto, and let Eko go as the Lone Ranger. Hes used to carrying something on his back already.
